Urban Vanity : the Stairs - story 1
Here you see my work of mid-summer: It's photography and photography!
Project 1 : I am working on stairs - did you ever think about what a power symbol stairs are - in history in the different societies...? It's a very interesting story. Will do one day the stairs of the different famous buildings. Interested? But first i let this idea beside and want only to work on perspectives. The stairs of a former wheat silo and the different positions showing you different perspectives when going up and down. The building is situated at a former river harbor - concrete, roasted metal and wood.And this area is an old historic Roman area. But i did not discovered anymore ruins.... nevertheless we will do in 2008 here an artshow and integrate the whole area and history... These are ingredients to smell, to touch and to love. Inside the 9-floor-high tower is fitting to the whole area. The light entering the broken windows is reflected blue. The last room on the ninth floor is remembering me at a chapel. And my pictures were shown also end of October in the same ambiente of the silo: Tag der Bildenden Kunst - a 3 day event. Picture by Gila Paris, 2007

As I am photographer - but i am also painting so i began to combine photos and painting. Here is the most recent series about nomads in the Middle East i just presented at the European Fair for Contemporary Art 2007 in France.
